연기에 대한 생각

I’m addicted to work. And acting. I don’t know how to describe it—reading a script is like a map. [But] it’s on set, finding that character, feeling the emotions, getting that adrenaline—it is such a rush. Developing a character is the only thing in the world I feel 100 percent confident in, that I understand. I still have that feeling from being a teenager: “I’m good at this, and I like this.” So I want to keep doing it, because it makes me feel good about myself.

나는 일에 중독되어 있어요. 그리고 연기. 어떻게 그걸 설명해야 할지 모르겠는데 - 스크립트를 읽는 것은 마치 지도 같아요. 설계되어 있고 캐릭터를 발견하고 감정을 느끼고 그 아드레날린을 얻는것 -  짜릿하죠. 캐릭터를 발전시키는 건 제가 생각하기에 이 세상에서 유일하게 제가 100프로 자신감을 느끼는 거에요. 나는 10대 때부터 아직까지 그 감정을 가지고 있어요. "나는 이걸 잘해. 그리고 좋아해" 그래서 이걸 계속하고 싶어요. 왜냐하면 이것(연기)은 제 스스로에 대해 좋은 기분이 들게 만들어주기 때문이죠
